World Class Pheasant Hunting
Since 1972, Mike Kuchera’s South Dakota Guide Service Inc. has been the “to-go-to” outfitter for world-class pheasant hunts.
We offer two- and three-day complete pheasant hunting packages based out of Mitchell, SD, which is 70 miles east on I-90 from the Sioux Falls Airport (FSD).
Our pheasant hunts begin in October and go through the middle of December. You can book your own private hunt with a minimum of 15 hunters or we can incorporate individuals and smaller groups together.
Enjoy a great South Dakota outdoors, delicious cuisine, and the friendly atmosphere of our small town that awaits your group each evening after the hunt.
Our Hunting Package Includes
Along with great pheasant hunting on prime wildlife habitat each day, our package includes three-nights lodging in the award-winning Hampton Inn. Enjoy delicious hot field lunches with snacks and beverages throughout the day and group evening meals at Mitchell’s top eating establishments.
In addition, our package includes veteran hunting guides, transportation while in the field, shotgun shells and a professional dog handler with well-bred, professionally trained hunting dogs.
You will also leave with your birds cleaned and frozen.
A Pioneer in the Pheasant Hunting Industry
Mike Kuchera serves as the main organizer and personally guides your hunts. His wife Debra is an expert dog handler and controls her pack of labradors. He has access to many acres of prime pheasant hunting land in around a 50-mile radius of Mitchell.
He is known for his ability to organize and orchestrate the hunts in a professional manner with a strong emphasis on safety in the field. It is common for our hunters to encounter several hundred pheasants each day. We hunt in a traditional walk and block style of hunting on a different farm or area each day of the hunt.
Our goal is to give our hunters a great pheasant hunt that they will truly remember and want to come back each year.
